Back on Murder by J. Mark Bertrand

I just might be catching the reading bug once again. This is more books I've read in a long time. Two in a month period! I miss reading. Anyway,

Back on Murder was another book in my free downloads on Kindle. I am wanting to try to read more of them since I have collected so many over the past few years and just don't get to reading them.

Back on Murder is about Roland March. He used to be one of the best homicide detectives but lifes events have changed that. When a big case breaks and he hopes it will change things around for him once again.

With murder, kidnapping, missing persons and corrupt cops, you are not lacking for a lot of mystery.

The only thing I had a hard time with was following all the different characters. There were a lot of different divisions an cop names, I had a hard time remembering who was who.

I had downloaded this book because it was under Christian fiction and there are hints of God in the book. But there are things in the book that made me stop and think, "Is this a Christian author?" Nothing scandalist to make me stop reading, just things I haven't read before in a Christian book before.

I did like the story line, I like mystery, which is what kept me reading to find out what was going to happen. But I felt sometimes I was trying to catch up to remember characters or skimming over passages of information, when he was describing things, like guns (which I don't know much about) or bigger words (you need a dictionary) which can be frustrating.

There are two more books in this series and I'm not sure if I will end up reading them. Only time will tell.
