Black by Ted Dekker

I read this book a few years ago and in looking for books for my daughter to read I decided to read it again.

Thomas Hunter is running from a bullet and just narrowly gets back to his home in Denver.  In this other world he is falling in love with a woman name Rachelle, learning about the love of God. A God he has never believed in. But when he sleeps he wakes up in another world. When he sleeps in that world, he wakes up again in his home in Denver with his sister Kara.

He discovers that though the worlds are so very different they are connected and he is the link to them both. In this world he is trying to stop a deadly virus. In the other world he is trying to stop evil from taking over the world. He soon discovers his purpose.

You can't imagine the story that Ted Dekker weaves together. This is an amazing series, very gripping and a must read.

  1. Thanks Jocelyn! I stumbled upon this blog searching for new book suggestions. This is great. I really appreciate the suggestion! This review has swayed me. I’ll have to check out Black. Thanks!

I wanted to pass along one my pastor recommended to me. It’s the #1 bestseller on religious fiction, so maybe you’ve already heard of it. But I can’t stop thinking about. It’s a fantastic collection of short stories. It’s called Pieces Like Pottery. I really can’t recommend it enough. I would love to see your review of it at some point! http://tinyurl.com/ozaybjm
